    Two people have been arrested after pre-planned searches in Oamaru last week


    A 25-year-old man appeared in the Timaru District Court, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm on Saturday - and will reappear in Oamaru District Court next week.

    A 26-year-old woman has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and utensils and will appear in Oamaru District Court on Wednesday.

    Police, including the Dunedin Armed Offender Squad, negotiators, and dog units assisted in the search.
