    One person is critically injured, after falling from height while trying to escape police north of Greymouth last night


    Police responded to several people acting suspiciously on Spring Creek Road in Runanga shortly after 10pm.

    Two people were taken into custody, while a third suffered critical injuries in the fall while attempting to evade officers.

    Two men - aged 41 and 34 - are due in the Greymouth District Court today.
