    A brave invercargill shop worker attempted to chase after a thief who stole goods from their store

    A brave invercargill shop worker attempted to chase after a thief who stole goods from their store


    Just before ten yesterday morning the offender broke into a Centre Street shop in Strathern -- fleeing with a handful of goods.

    The worker gave chase but the offender got out a weapon.

    A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged in relation to the incident.

    He was remanded in custody and will reappear at a later date.
