Repairs to a Hutt Valley slip site is expected to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars

The Point Howard slip cut off water supply and damaged roading infrastructure, in March.
It was partially due to the council and Wellington Water not fixing a leaky pipe in the area, for weeks.
Geological Engineers have found there's a high risk of more damage in Point Howard.
Hutt City Council's proposing rock bolts in the slip site, or a reinforced concrete wall, to go around it.
Choices will be discussed tomorrow -- with either option costing upwards of five-hundred-thousand dollars.
