Homicide investigations are continuing following fatal shootings in Auckland's Point England last Sunday and on Queen Street last Thursday.
Our newsroom can reveal the man who died after being shot in Point England over the weekend was a patched Head Hunter.
Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown says he's been meeting with Police Minister Ginny Andersen and Councillor Josephine Bartley.
He says they've had a "constructive conversation" about improving safety in Auckland and the need for a "joined-up approach".
Police are also continuing to investigate Sunday's fatal shooting in Palmerston North, which is also believed to be gang-related.
