A non-profit KiwiSaver provider is launching a new fund to build a targeted 25-thousand homes in the next 10-years - worth 12-billion dollars

A minimum one-thousand dollar input for the new Simplicity Homes and Income Fund, is being sought from investors, from today.

Simplicity founder and managing director Sam Stubbs says they aim to provide investors with better returns than the average bank term deposit.

He says it will also do a lot of good by meaningfully boosting housing supply, by roughly the same amount as the number of homes in Nelson or Napier.
