The bowler's played a match-winning hand for Northern Districts as the visitors beat the Otago Volts by 34 runs, on day four of the latest Plunket Shield cricket match in Dunedin.

Wagner took the last three wickets, finishing with figures of 4 for 38 for the innings.

The weather had the final say in Auckland and Napier as the Aces drew with Wellington at Eden Park and the Central Stags drew with Canterbury at McLean Park.
