    Investigations are underway after a person died in a suspicious house fire north of Wellington


    Two fire crews rushed to the blaze on Manly St at Paraparaumu Beach at around 6pm last night.

    Police say on arrival a person was found in a critical condition, and despite best efforts, they died at the scene.

    Specialist Fire and Emergency investigators are back at the house this morning, as a scene examination is underway.
