The United States track team have their eyes on their local counterparts at the New Zealand Cycle Classic

The Americans - coached by New Zealander Jono Hailstone - are competing as part of their Paris Olympic preparations.

They're looking to record some volume on the pedals before next month's Nations Cup in Adelaide.

Team member Brendan Rhim says they're familiar with their opponents.
