    A person's died after a water related incident off the coast of Oakura near Whangarei


    Police were alerted shortly after 5 this afternoon to a diver who had been retrieved from the water unresponsive.

    Emergency services tried to resuscitate them, however, they died at the scene.

    Police are making enquiries on behalf of the Coroner.
