A Dunedin property where a body was found this week - was the focus of hostage drama 15 years ago

In 2009, police raided the home to rescue a German woman being held inside.

Authorities are now conducting inquiries at the Garfield Avenue house, after the discovery of a body - that may have been there some time.

The person is yet to be identified, but a neighbour says they hadn't seen the home's occupant in six months.
