A new partnership to boost tourism and travel through the South Island's lower half

A new partnership to boost tourism and travel through the South Island's lower half

The Queenstown, Invercargill, and Dunedin airports have joined forces with the eight southern Regional Tourism Organisations, on a 'one trip to see it all' campaign.

The initiative encourages visitors to use Air New Zealand's multi-stop booking tool to fly into one airport -- explore the region -- then fly out of another.

Queenstown Airport Acting Chief Executive Todd Grace says it brings exciting opportunities.

He believes there are strong benefits in spreading visitors widely around the region, rather than having them concentrated in a few hotspots.
