Police continue to crack down on boy-racers in Wellington

Police continue to crack down on boy-racers in Wellington

Officers have been targeting boy-racer groups across the Hutt Valley and Porirua, following a unruly car meet in Levin last month which saw some Police attacked with rocks and bottles.

Last night saw 70 fines issued, 20 vehicles removed from the road, and one spiked with the driver then arrested for failing to stop.

Inspector Shaun Lingard says the group became frustrated with Police efforts, throwing in the towel early in the night.
