    The holiday road toll is now at four - following a serious crash on State Highway 25 in the Coromandel just before nine this morning


    One person died and four others were injured after two vehicles collided between Te Puru Creek Road and Valder Place.

    The road's closed - and motorists travelling between Thames and Coromandel town should take alternative routes.

    Yesterday a person died in Hicks Bay, Gisborne - and two others died in separate crashes late Christmas Eve.
