Around 7500 breath tests have been carried out in Gisborne over the past three days - and police are pleased with the results

Police say the majority of festival goers attending Rhythm and Vines, are making the right drinking and drinking decisions.

So far 10 people have been summonsed to court for excess breath or blood alcohol - and seven have been issued infringement notices for breaching alcohol limits.

Police will continue to have a large presence around the venue through to tomorrow morning.

There will also be checkpoints across the Tairawhiti area - so motorists should expect delays.
