All Blacks playmaker Beauden Barrett is backing New Zealand Rugby for showing some 'backbone' around their eligibility rules

All Blacks playmaker Beauden Barrett is backing New Zealand Rugby for showing some 'backbone' around their eligibility rules

It comes with news Richie Mo'unga, his current Toshiba club in Japan and NZR were unable to come to an agreement for him to return home a year early from his contract.

The Mo'unga news had come as news to Barrett but says he's comfortable with where things are at in the All Blacks environment.

Beauden Barrett won't run around for a couple of weeks as yet, but 2024 All Blacks Finlay Christie and Harry Plummer will play for the Blues against the Crusaders in pre-season this Friday in Kirwee.

The Crusaders will call on Ethan Blackadder, George Bell and Noah Hotham , along with former Wallaby James O'Connor.

Billy Proctor will turn out for the Hurricanes in one of 47 players named to face the Chiefs in New Plymouth.
