The Prime Minister's yet to reveal where he will spend Waitangi Day

The Prime Minister's yet to reveal where he will spend Waitangi Day

One place he won't be on Thursday is at the Treaty Grounds in the Bay of Islands.

Senior Ministers Erica Stanford, Paul Goldsmith, Tama Potaka and Mark Mitchell will represent the Government at Waitangi from tomorrow.

Chris Luxon says attending celebrations in person is important... but he says there's no requirement for the Prime Minister to be there.

He says it makes sense to go around the country and celebrate with other iwi as well.
