Jesy Nelson has revealed that she needs to use a wheelchair as she gave an update on her pregnancy from hospital

The former Little Mix singer, who is expecting twins, was admitted to hospital over a week ago after being diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) - a condition that means her babies are sharing a placenta and can cause one twin to receive less blood supply and nutrients - and admits that her boyfriend Zion Foster must take her outside in a wheelchair if she wishes to leave her room for fresh air

Jesy told her fans on Instagram: "Hi guys, happy Sunday, we just wanted to come on here because we are another week further along and we feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong.

"We just wanted to thank you so much for your wonderful, supportive, beautiful messages. You guys have been so lovely.

"We have seen all your lovely messages and it has really helped keep us going. So we just wanted to say thank you for that.

"I hope you are enjoying the sunshine. Unfortunately we can't. Well, we can, Zion takes me out in the wheelchair down the road but that's as far as we can go."

It was the first update from Jesy, 33, since she told followers last week that her unborn babies are "going strong" following an emergency operation that had proved successful.

The star said: "I don't know if you can see, but we are still in hospital, I've been recovering, but we have some amazing news.

"The TTTS has cleared up; the operation was a success, which is just absolutely incredible. We are so, so lucky to have the most amazing doctors."

However, Jesy did admit that it would be some time before she would be able to leave hospital following the procedure.

She said: "Basically, the situation we're in now is my cervix is very, very short, so I can't leave the hospital because my waters could break at any point and I'm still very, very early.

"I can't leave the hospital until I'm a certain amount of weeks, so every week we're just like, 'Please, please, please stay in there!'"
