A Tauranga tavern and connecting bottle store has been stripped of its liquor license

A Tauranga tavern and connecting bottle store has been stripped of its liquor license

Welcome Bay Sports Bar and Grill, and the connecting Super Liquor, are closed for the foreseeable future after being caught not following the rules.

Tauranga City Council inspectors found the bottle store sold alcohol to an under aged person for a second time in November last year.

Police also applied to suspend or cancel its licences after repeated other breaches last August and November.
