A woman's been charged with interfering with human remains - over a newborn's body found in an Auckland wheelie bin on Tuesday

Her lawyer has told the District Court today she couldn't attend because of health issues - and remains in hospital.

Interim name suppression has been granted - with another hearing set for month's end.

Meanwhile, Police are investigating serious injuries suffered by a three-month-old Hutt Valley baby, taken to hospital by family last month.

And Police continue to investigate how a six-month-old was critically injured at Foxton Beach a few days ago.
