The clash for the custodian's role with the All Whites is on, with Alex Paulsen earning the goalkeepers' gloves for their football friendly against Poland

The clash for the custodian's role with the All Whites is on, with Alex Paulsen earning the goalkeepers' gloves for their football friendly against Poland

Paulsen, currently on loan to a Polish club from English Premier League club Bournemouth - and formerly of Auckland FC and the Wellington Phoenix - couldn't stop the only goal in the game.

With next year's World Cup on the horizon, New Zealand coach Darren Bazeley outlines where Paulsen's individual battle with fellow stopper Max Crocombe is at.

Crocombe plays for English Championship side Milwall.
