Waikato's State Highway 30 - from Te Kuiti to Benneydale - is expected to open at 7pm - after being closed since yesterday's downpours

NZTA says crews have been working to clear slips - and the highway will reopen, with two sections down to one-lane.

State Highway 31 will remain closed overnight between Tihiroa and Kawhia - and open tomorrow morning.

Multiple roads are still closed in Northern Taranaki - State Highway 3 west of Mokau, highway 4 north of Taumarunui and highway 43 north of Whangamomona.
