    A 33-year-old man has been arrested after a police pursuit in Auckland's Westgate this afternoon


    Police were told about 4.20pm of a vehicle driving erratically, and that a firearm had been seen in it.

    Patrols followed the vehicle through the Huapai and Kumeu areas, and the Eagle helicopter then followed it through Massey and Henderson.

    About 5:40pm, road spikes were used, stopping the vehicle on Te Kanawa Cr in Henderson.

    The man was taken into custody, and charges are being considered.
