    Uninterrupted play is coming to the ASB Classic tennis tournament


    Auckland Council's sealed the deal on a 15-million-dollar upgrade to Manuka Doctor Arena - which includes putting five-million into a new roof.

    The announcement comes as the next ASB Classic's set to start on January 5.

    Tennis Auckland CEO Rowan West says once the roof goes in, fans will be be able to see play when it's scheduled - without disruptions from rain and wind.

    He says fans from across the country will be able to buy tickets months early, knowing all sessions will go ahead.
