Health New Zealand has confirmed another widespread technology outage - in upper North Island hospitals - was resolved overnight

Health New Zealand has confirmed another widespread technology outage - in upper North Island hospitals - was resolved overnight

It affected hospitals in Te Tai Tokerau, Waitemata, Auckland and Counties Manukau - impacting some clinical and operational systems.

The outage lasted about 12 hours, ending in the early hours of this morning.

Health New Zealand says patient care continued safely - and it's working to identify ways to improve systems.

Hospitals in the South Island and lower North have already had major IT outages this month.
