Building a brains and investment trust of winners has been at the heart of American Magic boss Terry Hutchinson's plans to return the Auld Mug to its original home, the New York Yacht Club

The syndicate's second-generation AC75 America's Cup boat is on its way to Auckland via chartered cargo plane from Rhode Island for use in the Prada Cup challenger series.

One of their investors is Roger Penske, of motor racing fame.

Hutchinson says his input's been invaluable.
