New Zealand SailGP team driver Peter Burling is reflecting on a throwback moment at their most recent regatta as they bid to continue their climb back up the overall leaderboard

New Zealand SailGP team driver Peter Burling is reflecting on a throwback moment at their most recent regatta as they bid to continue their climb back up the overall leaderboard

New Zealand pipped Australia for a second event win of the season in Dubai last month - lifting the Kiwi outfit into third in the standings.

The Aussie crew featured Jimmy Spithill in the driver's seat - the old rival in a one-off race for his country of birth after stepping away from Team USA.

Burling says it was an interesting experience.

Racing is set to start at 11pm tonight NZ time.
