Alinghi's effort to stay in the America's Cup challenger series has come too late

Britannia has wrapped up the tie 5-2 to advance to the final.

Alinghi helmsman Arnaud Psarofaghis has acknowledged the circumstances, despite two wins which held Britannia at match point.



The other semi-final remains alive, American Magic have won three straight races against Luna Rossa to trail 4-3.
