    One person's being helicoptered to hospital after a near drowning at the Hanmer Springs Hot Pools, in northern Canterbury


    Police were notified of the incident just before 4pm.

    A St John spokesman is unable to confirm the age or gender of the victim but says they're in a moderate condition.
