    One person has been arrested after an assault, thought to have involved an axe, in northwest Auckland


    Police were called to an incident at a property in the area of Railway Street and West Street just after 8am.

    Newstalk ZB understands an axe was used.

    One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

    Another person is in police custody.
