An associate of the two Covid-positive women who travelled Northland, has been arrested

An associate of the two Covid-positive women who travelled Northland, has been arrested

Police say the third woman was found at Kumeu address in West Auckland on Thursday and taken into custody under the Health Act.

She was moved to an Auckland MIQ facility -- and has since tested positive for the virus.

Police and the Health Ministry are carrying out further enquiries on the her movements.

The pair of initial cases who drove around Northland plunged the region into Level Three, after refusing to comply with contact tracers.

Northland is set to leave Level Three at 11.59 on Monday.
