Police have made three arrests, for three large fires in Hawkes Bay's Waipawa earlier this month

Police have made three arrests, for three large fires in Hawkes Bay's Waipawa earlier this month

Authorities say the blazes began after fireworks were shot out of a vehicle's window along Hautope Road, and flames were fanned by strong winds.

The 23 year-old men face charges of arson and will appear in the Hastings District Court tomorrow.
