    A woman who was assaulted in September has died in hospital


    Her and her husband were seriously assaulted in their Western Heights, Rotorua home on 23 September and have been in hospital since.

    The woman died yesterday evening.

    A 52-year-old man who was arrested and charged with murder in relation to a linked incident at an Utuhina property, will now face a second murder charge.

    He's scheduled to appear in Rotorua High Court on 18 October.
