A lucky rescue for three people who flipped their boat flipped on the Raglan Bar - at just the right time

A lucky rescue for three people who flipped their boat flipped on the Raglan Bar - at just the right time

Police were called on Sunday to reports two people had landed in the wash - and another was trapped under the boat.

Raglan Surf Lifesavers doing a training exercise nearby quickly responded with Coastguard volunteers.

The first two were plucked out of the water, but a rescuer had to swim under the boat, to cut through tangled fishing line to pull out the third person.

    All three were wearing lifejackets.
