    A person's been cut out of a vehicle and four people have been seriously injured - after a crash in Upper Hutt this afternoon


    Fire and Emergency New Zealand received reports of two cars colliding on Fergusson Drive in Trentham about quarter to two.

    A spokesperson says two or three pedestrians were involved.

    Wellington Free Ambulance says two people have been taken to Hutt Hospital and two others are in Wellington Regional Hospital.

    One of the cars also hit electrical infrastructure - and lines people have been called in to assist.

    There are so far no reports of power outages.
