An A-League referee reviews panel have acknowledged the video official and referee made errors in awarding the first of two contentious spot kicks.
In a statement - Becker says while they appreciate the panel's transparency, it was frustrating that VAR intervened and convinced the referee to award the penalty.
Becker adds that VAR should be a means of reviewing clear and obvious errors, not creating them.
