Plans to reshape transport in central Dunedin to provide better access to the city's new hospital

Plans to reshape transport in central Dunedin to provide better access to the city's new hospital

NZTA is seeking feedback on options for two key routes - Cumberland Street and State Highway 88, also known as St Andrew Street.

They include adding new crossings, removing a main right hand turn and changing nearby streets to help driving, walking and cycling and make it safer and smoother for emergency vehicles to move around.

Director of Regional Relationships, Ian Duncan, says up to 10-thousand pedestrians will be walking in and around the hospital daily.
