An Auckland company has been sentenced after scaffolding dramatically collapsed onto a busy road

An Auckland company has been sentenced after scaffolding dramatically collapsed onto a busy road

On a windy day in January 2024 the nine-metre high scaffolding fell into the path of cars along Remuera's Peach Parade.

A WorkSafe investigation found the scaffold was free-standing and lacked safety features to anchor it in place.

Kylin Scaffolding Limited pleaded guilty to breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act.

In sentencing at the Auckland District Court yesterday it was ordered to pay 8500-dollars in reparations.
