More than 500 households in South Dunedin will be without power for most of the day, following a crash taking out a powerpole at St Kilda

More than 500 households in South Dunedin will be without power for most of the day, following a crash taking out a powerpole at St Kilda

Two people were out of the vehicle on Macandrew Road by the time police, St John and Fire and Emergency arrived at 4.30am.

They were assessed nearby, and taken to Dunedin Hospital with serious and moderate injuries.

Aurora Energy says more than 500 customers are without power, with restoration not expected until 5pm.
