    A fun activity at a Christchurch daycare went horrifically wrong today - after a misidentified corrosive substance ended up on a water slide


    Ambulance crews checked 40 people - and took five children and two adults to hospital, treating two others with minor injuries on site.

    Ambulance and fire crews rushed to the Ferry Road Kindercare just before 1:15.

    Rosie Leishman says it was a big shock for everyone - who'd hoped to have water fun in the 30 degrees heat.
