    One person's in critical condition after an incident in Taranaki


    Ihaia Road in Opunake is closed after Police were notified that a person had been seriously assaulted.

    They've been transported to hospital and Police are working to determine the circumstances of the assault.

    The public are advised to avoid the area, as Ihaia Road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
