The Tauranga community's joined together in a show of support for whanau who've lost loved ones, a week after landslides in the area

Hundreds gathered in Coronation Park alongside the Prime Minister and Tauranga Mayor last night.

15-year-old Max Furse-Kee and 20-year-old Swedish tourist Måns Bernhardsson are the first two of six victims to be identified, after a slip crashed onto a campsite at the base of the Mount.

A grandmother and grandson were also killed in a slip in Papamoa.

Local Pastor Leanne Rolleston thanked those who are supporting people through grief, saying they've brought comfort to the whole community.
