A serious bullying incident at an Oamaru high school has been referred to police for investigation

The Otago Daily Times reports three boys have been suspended from St Kevin's College boarding hostel, over an incident which has been described as 'waterboarding'.

A fourth boy - the alleged victim - has remained in the hostel with parental support.

The school says it acted swiftly, stood down those involved, is supporting the student, and cooperating with police.
