    A 35-year-old man is appearing in Hamilton District Court today accused of assault


    Police were notified of a reportedly violent and unprovoked attack on Frankton's High Street about 7am yesterday.

    A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

    Investigating officers found a man in Melville about 2pm, and charged him and took him into custody.
