Fire crews have extinguished a massive scrub fire in Auckland's Mt Wellington

Fire and Emergency says the fire -- which was visible across much of Auckland -- was fully extinguished before 10 last night.

There have been no flare-ups since then.

Police have confirmed they responded to the fire, but won't say if they've made any arrests.
