    Wellington Police have confirmed the identity of the man whose body was found in the water at Evans Bay on Tuesday

    Wellington Police have confirmed the identity of the man whose body was found in the water at Evans Bay on Tuesday


    He was 45-year-old Joseph Nansen, of Wellington.

    Mr Nansen was last seen on CCTV near the Evans Bay yacht club late last Saturday night.

    He was was carrying a dark or black backpack, and Police have yet to recover this.

    Police would like anyone who fimnds that backpack or articles of clothing to contact them on 10-5.
