    New Zealand have overcome Australia 49-44 in the Constellation Cup netball opener in Christchurch - the lead stretched to 11 goals at one stage before getting pared back


    The hosts coughed up 18 turnovers, while their opponents gave away 27.

    Silver Ferns centre Claire Kersten says that will likely change as skill levels improve across the series.
