    Hopes Black Friday will be a boost for Auckland retailers


    It is is a major sales period for New Zealand retailers and continues throughout the weekend.

    Retail New Zealand chief executive Greg Harford says for Auckland retailers it's the first real sales period since they came out of lockdown.

    He says it will be critical in helping businesses' cash flow and will hopefully lead to them feeling more positive as they head into Christmas.
