A warning to anyone writing off the Auckland Tuatara's chances of claiming a title, in their debut turn in the National Basketball League

A warning to anyone writing off the Auckland Tuatara's chances of claiming a title, in their debut turn in the National Basketball League

They began with a hiss and a roar and have led the NBL for most of the season - before suddenly losing three games in a row.

Tuatara coach Aaron Young insists they're still here to win the championship - and woe betide anyone who gets in their way.

The Tuatara still lead the league but only on points for and against, from the Hawke's Bay Hawks - the Auckland outfit host the Nelson Giants tomorrow night.
