A 100 thousand dollar reward for an Auckland murder nearly four decades ago - expires in a week

A 100 thousand dollar reward for an Auckland murder nearly four decades ago - expires in a week

Arthur Easton was killed on October 13, 1985 - after confronting a male intruder who entered his Papakura home.

The reward was announced in October last year - to encourage people to come forward with any information about the person responsible.

Counties Manukau Detective Inspector Warrick Adkin says the team's still assessing and making follow-up enquiries - but believes there are still people out there who know something.

He says it's not too late to come forward and give Easton's family the answers they deserve.
